There are several types of slide shows in PowerPoint:
traditional full-screen slide,
slide show that runs automatically on a computer screen at a conference kiosk,
selected range of slides to show,
slide show with hidden individual slides.

Choices for presenting slides to more than one audience:
create separate slide show for each audience.
create a custom slide show:
selection of slides,
order of slides.
Customize presentation by using the Hide Slide command:
hide specific slides during slide show.

To delete a custom slide show:
Click the Slide Show menu,
click Custom Shows,
click the show you want to delete,
click Remove, and Close.
To open a presentation directly in Slide Show view,
click the File menu,
click Save As,
click the Save As Type list arrow, and then click PowerPoint Show.
To record a narration:
Click the Slide Show menu,
click Record Narration,
set the microphone level and sound quality,
click OK,
click to select the Link Narrations In check box,
click OK,
click Current Slide or First Slide,
record your narration,
click Save to save the slide timings.
You can start a slide show quickly from the current slide:
click the Slide Show button.
Slide Show view popup menu provides access to PowerPoint commands without leaving Slide Show view.
Note: disable this feature if running unattended at a kiosk.

Basic navigation:
To advance to the next slide in Slide Show view,
click the mouse button,
or press Enter.
In addition, PowerPoint provides keyboard shortcuts to jump to
the beginning,
the end,
or any particular slide in the presentation.
Also, the navigation commands on the shortcut menu provide access to slides in custom slide shows.
After a period of inactivity during a normal full-screen slide show, PowerPoint hides the pointer and Slide Show icon.

Right-mouse click: previous slide.
Enter: next slide.
Home: first slide.
End: last slide.
Page Up: previous slide.
Page Down next slide.
Type slide number + Enter: moves to specific slide.
Press B: displays a black screen. Press again to resume the show.
Press W: displays a white screen. Press again to resume.
Esc: exit the Slide Show view.
To add speaker notes in Slide Show:
In Slide Show view,
right-click a blank area on the slide,
point to Screen,
click Speaker Notes,
type your notes, and then click OK.
To switch to another program in Slide Show view:
right-click a blank area on the slide,
point to Screen,
click Switch Programs.
Then use the taskbar to switch between programs and back to the slide show.
To change mouse pointer to a highlighter,
set highlighter color to match the presentation color scheme.
change pointer options to automatically hide
or permanently display/hide the highlighter pen.
The marks you make in a slide during a slide show are not permanent.
