This week you will learn how to create a PowerPoint presentation.
You will use some of the Microsoft On-Line Training Courses to learn about these topics.
Some of the below courses include presentations and Practice sections.
The Practice sections have you open an actual PowerPoint file and walk you through performing some of the tasks covered in the presentation.
If a presentation offers a practice session, you should take the time to complete them.

The above courses include the topics necessary to comlete this week's homework.
They are the only required courses for this week but Microsoft has many more courses available at their site.
The next two links will display a list of all of Microsoft's on-line Powerpoint 2003 and 2007 courses. Although you aren't responsible for the additional topics, feel free to explore some of the others:
Your task is to create a power point presentation.
Pick one of the below 3 scenarios for this assignment.
Bicycle Safety Presentation As owner of the Bikes R Us Company you have written many articles on bicycle safety. Based on one of your articles, a local elementary school in your town asks you to do a presentation for their PTA meeting on children's cycling tips. Create your own presentation in PowerPoint, using the information in the Bike Safety File as a resource.
Telephone Training Course: You are a trainer with Super Software, Inc.. You received a memo from your manager alerting you that many of the support personnel are not using proper telephone protocol or obtaining the proper information from the customers who call in. Your manager has asked you to conduct a training class that covers these topics. Using the Memo as a resource, prepare the slides for the training session.
Successful Interview Techniques: You work at an employment agency and your manager has informed you that he would like you to create a power point presentation that will be used at a workshop being offered to your clients. Create the presentation, using the information provided in the Interview Techniques document as a resource.
Your presentation must include:
A title slide which includes the topic of your presentation and your name
Your presentation must include at least 5 8 slides.
Use a design template (2003) or theme (2007)--- choose one that you like and that you feel is appropriate for the presentation
You must have at least 3 different graphics included in the presentation i.e., a picture or clipart image. Use the images where appropriate but don't over do it.

Print the presentation as handouts, 3 per page, grayscale you don't actually have to print it but you do need to configure it and should use print-preview to ensure it's properly configured (print-preview will save you paper).
Be sure to view your presentation
Your grade will be based on meeting the requirements above and on the quality of the presentation.
When ready, send me a copy of your PPT file.
