After bit-by-bit copy, how would you ensure that the evidence drive never has to again be attached to a computer?
Make a master examination copy and then a secondary examination copy from the master.
All exams are then performed on the secondary examination medium.
If any problems occur, a new secondary examination medium can be prepared from the master rather than from the original evidence.
