Format program for NTFS volume allocates first 16 sectors for the boot sector followed by bootstrap code.
The first sector of NTFS partition is the boot sector, or VBR, the volume boot record.
Contains file system type, size, and location of NTFS data.
Also contains boot code.
Also accessible by entry #7 in $MFT.
The boot sector is backed up at the end of the volume.
