On Windows Vista and 7, by turning off system restore all previous restore points are deleted.
Locate "my computer" icon, right click and choose properties.
The "Control Panel\System" dialog box appears.
Click "System Protection" link
UAC warning appears
Click the "System Protection" tab (sometimes may appear named "System Restore" tab):
Click "System Restore" button to examine the history of existing restore points. Typically there are 15 of them or so.
Trying uncheck the volume on the list triggers the warning:
Clicking the button "Turn System Restore Off" will delete the existing restore points.
Click apply, then click OK. Done.
