NTFS maintains a transaction log and change journal
in the event of a failure NTFS automatically restores the consistency of the file system.
NTFS can natively compress and encrypt files without the use of a separate application.
The file is
encrypted/compressed during the file write, and
decrypted/uncompressed during the file read operation
Compression/Encryption is transparent to user.
